Gaggia RI9380 and RI9481, What the Model Numbers Identify
Gaggia's parts diagram lists 22 machine variants across two type codes. The same model number appears three times with three different 12NC codes by region.
RI9380 and RI9481 are Gaggia commercial model numbers, and each maps to a type code that identifies the machine’s actual configuration: RI9380 to SIN035R and RI9481 to SIN035UR.
Where the model list is published
The machine models table appears in the exploded view document Exp.EG1003 Rev.01 - 06/07/23, covering SIN035R and SIN035UR, linked from gaggia-na.com/pages/gaggia-classic-pro-evo-e24-manuals. Checked 13 August 2026.
It lists 22 variants, each pairing a type code, a commercial model number, a description and in most cases a twelve-digit 12NC code.
The variants under each type code
Twenty-two variants are listed, and they differ by colour and by market voltage rather than by capability.

The row that matters most
RI9481/11 appears three times with three different 12NC codes, distinguished only by a market suffix: (SCH), (UK) and (AU).
The same commercial model number is therefore three different registered products. 886948111010, 886948111150 and 886948111530 are distinct machines in Gaggia’s own numbering. A specification or a part quoted against RI9481/11 alone does not identify which of the three is meant.
What the model number does not tell you
The model number encodes colour and market, and the type code encodes the functional configuration.
Every RI9380 variant in the table above differs from its neighbours by colour or market voltage, not by capability. The functional split runs along the type code: SIN035R has no automatic shut-off and SIN035UR shuts off after 20 minutes, which is the only functional difference the service manual tabulates between them.
What could not be read from this document
The document’s parts table publishes position numbers, descriptions and 12NC codes as three separate sets, and their row structure could not be reconstructed from the file’s text layer.
The counts are 86 positions, 96 part-level 12NC codes and a NOTE column naming RI9481, RI9380 and market voltages. A ratio above one code per position is the document differentiating parts by model and market, which is exactly the information a compatibility question needs. Reading it requires the drawing itself rather than its extracted text, so no per-part table is published here.
