What a Philips EP Model Code Identifies
A Philips EU declaration lists 67 distinct EP model codes. The 2200 range alone contains ten machines, so a range name does not identify a machine.
A Philips espresso machine is identified by an EP code such as EP5447/90, and the marketing range name it is sold under, such as 5400 series, covers several different machines.
Where the codes are published
One official document lists 67 distinct EP model codes: the EU Declaration of Conformity numbered EDC 1008.
It is issued by DAP B.V., Tussendiepen 4a, 9206AD Drachten, The Netherlands, dated Drachten, July 2026, and states on its face that it is issued under the sole responsibility of the manufacturer. It is hosted on dam.versuni.com. Checked 13 August 2026.
DAP B.V. is the legal manufacturer named on the declaration and Philips is the brand, which is why a citation names the issuer rather than assuming the two are the same.
How many machines a range name covers
Several Philips ranges contain seven or more separate model codes.

What the suffix after the slash does
The digits after the slash identify the market variant, and machines sharing a base code can differ by voltage.
EP5447/90 is documented at 230 V and 50 Hz. EP3241/54 and EP1220/04 are documented at 120 V and 60 Hz. Philips support pages list EP3241/54 and EP3241/74 as separate products, and EP5447/90 alongside EP5447/94.
A specification quoted without the full code including its suffix is wrong for some market.
What the declaration does not do
The declaration lists model codes and does not carry specifications, so it establishes which machines exist and nothing about what they do.
Its own filename asserts coverage of EP54xx and EP55xx. Text extraction recovered EP5546, EP5547, EP5549 and EP5143 and no EP54xx code at all. That is a limitation of reading the file, not evidence that the declaration omits the 5400 range, and the 5400 codes cited elsewhere on this site come from product leaflets instead.

Specifications live in per-model product leaflets, each carrying its own issue date and version number.

Those leaflets are served from documents.philips.com. Of eleven Philips document URLs found and requested on 13 August 2026, four downloaded and six returned HTTP 404, so the addresses go stale and a citation should record the version and issue date printed inside the file.
