LatteGo Across the Philips Range, and Which Machines Carry It

Philips leaflets state the milk system per model. LatteGo comes with a 0.26 L carafe, the Classic Milk Frother comes with none, and the weight differs by 0.5 kg.

What the leaflets state, model by model

Four Philips product leaflets were obtained, and each names its milk system in the same field.

The three fields that move together

Milk solution, carafe capacity and weight change as a group across these four documents.

The three machines documented with LatteGo each state a 0.26 L carafe and a product weight of 8 kg. The one documented with a Classic Milk Frother states X for carafe capacity, meaning none, and a weight of 7.5 kg.

A half kilogram separates them, and it is the only weight difference among the four leaflets. The documents do not attribute the difference to the milk system. They state both facts, and this page reports that they move together without claiming one causes the other.

Dimensions vary by a few millimetres and not more: 246x372x433 mm on the EP5447/90, 246x371x433 mm on the EP3241/54 and EP1220/04, and 247x366x434 mm on the EP2235/40.

The counting rule for the comparison above: a field counts as identical when the same value appears in the Technical specifications block of all four leaflets. Four leaflets is four leaflets, and it is not a statement about the Philips range as a whole.

What the leaflets do not state

No leaflet was obtained for any machine in the 4400 or 5500 ranges, so no 4400 or 5500 specification appears here.

Their model codes are established. The EU Declaration of Conformity EDC 1008, DAP B.V., Drachten July 2026, lists EP4441, EP4443, EP4446 and EP4449 in the 4400 range and EP5546, EP5547 and EP5549 in the 5500 range. Their specifications are not quoted, because no document carrying them was retrieved.

No Philips document examined states a part number for a LatteGo carafe, or whether a carafe from one model fits another. Of five espresso manufacturers checked on 13 August 2026, only Gaggia publishes part numbers.

What the word LatteGo identifies

It is a Philips component name, and the leaflets use it as a specification value rather than describing how it works.

The EP5447/90 leaflet describes it as the fastest to clean milk system ever*, with an asterisk leading to: Based on consumer testing in Germany comparing leading One Touch (Coffee + Milk) Full Automatic Espresso Machines (2018). That footnote bounds the claim to a 2018 comparison in one market, and it travels with the claim wherever the claim goes.
